The United States Department of Education’s Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative launched “Digital Teacher Workshops for Teachers of Native American Students.” These free workshops provide professional development opportunities for teachers of American Indians and Alaska Natives in all grade levels and content areas.
This would have been great when I was teaching in Alaska. It is a great way to provide some basic information to teachers that often come in completely unaware. I’m forwarding this to my principal friends still up there!
