Hmm, being the step mom of a 5 year old, I am reluctant about this idea. Both my husband and I are reluctant to put hers or our son’s identity out on the Internet for many reasons. Perhaps creating a site similar to Neopets where kids can blog would be appropriate. Great idea though.
There are safe ways for kids to be a part of Web 2.0 tools. For example, my students each have a secure wiki through pbwiki.com. They each have a password and only go by initials. There is not any personal infomation provided.
