Watchthisspace is maintained by a gifted photographer. I could not resist posting this pic because of all of the potential stories that popped into my head. It would serve as a great story starter and/or inspiration for ideas. I would not use it with my third graders…nightmares would definitely follow! :)

Thank you to the LibrarianinBlack for her post about Dumpr. Dumpr allows you to turn photos into museum shots, Rubik’s cubes, jigsaw puzzles, legos, and many more. What a great way to showcase a book. Here’s a picture of my favorite picture book character, Molly Lou Melon, at a museum and in a Rubik’s cube

This would definitely fall under “more,” like more and more posts are becoming on Litandmore. I suppose these tools make me a better teacher and resource. I highly recommend checking out Trey Ratcliff’s photoblog.
I drove up to the extreme north of Iceland yesterday to do some serious exploration. I told my mom not to worry… the roads are not too bad. I know that sign says “Impassable”, but that sign is clearly for other people, or it is written in Icelandic and means something completely different in English.
I could try to describe how cold it is, but I will not.
