We spent the day roaming around Mobile, Alabama. We enjoyed a delightful lunch at Mama’s on Dauphin. After lunch, we explored the neighborhood and found ourselves on Bienville Square watching the squirrels. Seriously, we watched them for at least 15 minutes. Some were brave and some were too full from eating peanuts to even move. More free road trip entertainment. 🙂 After a quick trip to the library, we found ourselves at the USS Alabama. We should have left when we heard the thunder and saw the lightening. But, in true fashion, we stayed to see as much as possible, including the view of the downpour outside as we watched through a porthole. Enough already, this post is supposed to be about the drive from Mobile to Jackson. Well, that won’t take long.
