John, Donna, and Babymouse have discussed few (two? three?) details about Let’s Go Northeast ’13.
This is all they know about this year’s stress-free road trip.
1. John will arrive at Donna’s house at 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. They will snap their first selfie, record the mileage and window poetry, and pull out of Donna’s driveway at exactly 5:30 a.m.
2. So many people would have issues not knowing exactly what’s on the agenda for the next week, but that’s what makes these road trips so exciting and fresh. They TRULY have not discussed which independent bookshops, libraries, historic sites, wacky roadside attractions, and unique restaurants they’ll visit.
3. Hold the phone. Stop. Back up. You’re not telling the truth. John’s been talking nonstop about seeing Matilda the Musical. He’s a little obsessed.
-Hey, it is John! Saying I’m obsessed is a little strong, don’t you think? Well, OK, maybe I’ve been a little obsessed, but it is one of my all-time favorite books. I cannot visit the East Coast without stopping in New York City to see Roald Dahl’s Matilda brought to life on Broadway. I just hope Babymouse and Donna agree with me.
Safe and happy travels, Donna, John, and Babymouse! (Thanks, mysterious blogger. -John)
